Settler's Landing

It looks like the nice weather is here to stay, and what better way to embrace the sunshine than to spruce up the neighborhood!?

On April 10, over 40 neighbors from the Warehouse District rolled up their sleeves and worked side by side to tidy up Settler's Landing for the summer. It was a beautiful day spent raking grass, hauling away weeds, and ridding the area of dozens of bags of winter residue.

What's more, others shared in the effort! DCA power-washed the river walkway; the City of Cleveland officially turned on the fountain, Dive Bar sponsored lunch and gave all participants Dive Bar VIP cards; and the Home Depot at Steelyard Commons donated all the rakes and lawn bags.

We love seeing this type of team effort in our neighborhood, which continued May 8th as we pruned the trees and removed all the brush from behind the dog park.

Later this month, you’ll be seeing more planters, flowers and pop-up parks showing up, especially along W9th! If you’re interested in partaking in any of these planting or setting-up efforts, email Eileen at ecassidy@warehousedistrict.org

Happy summer!
